Energy Efficient Motorsport
The EEMS project aims to encourage skills and technology that will be relevant and attractive to the global automotive industry. By stimulating the development of new forms of motorsport competition based on energy efficiency the EEMS initiative intends to highlight motorsport as an effective development environment for road car applications.
Since 2004, EEMS has been supporting UK teams competing with alternative fuel sources, including various blends of bio-ethanol, diesel and hybrid technology.
Support continues through 2007 expanding its reach to include research into kinetic energy recovery systems and sees the conversion of an entire UK race series to run on bio-ethanol. For full details of the EEMS project visit www.eemsonline.co.uk.
